Our Concept

Standing with the grace of Mount Roraima at the heart of the development lies the Potaro Gardens by Trican Condominiums. Two 10 storey luxury condo buildings that are meticulously designed to create a utopian experience that mixes the natural environment, the cultural identity of Guyana and modern infrastructures into a harmonious pack, aimed at creating an unforgettable experience while in Guyana.

The project features 102 units of luxury accommodations spread across the twin condos “Barima” and “Waini” named after the famous Barima and Waini rivers that run through the Region 1 area of Guyana. The unique geometry of the twin condos allows an unprecedented access to our “Sky Yards”; gracious backyard spaces that are elevated, giving a spectacular view of our development.

Overview-1-1024x1024

The central courtyard provides an oasis that connects all the residents to our “vertical neighborhood“ in a safe environment. The winding geometry of the building allows natural lighting and wind to enter into the main courtyard space in between Barima and Waini. The two towers are linked by a “floating” bridge, that provides a spectacular view of the courtyard. The condos feature a number of luxury amenities that create a number of great recreational and relaxing experiences to our residents. This includes access to our community pool, private gym, events space, social lounge etc.

The natural environment is deliberately interwoven for the building architecture to provide a place that is relaxing – a perfect mixed between form, function and nature. To satisfy the parking needs of the vertical neighbourhood, the third facility within the development is our multi-rise parking building. These components all come together to offer the perfect environment to experience Guyana’s culture in a luxurious and sustainable environment. Using architecture to create unique experiences in Guyana is the central aim of this project. Each floor is twisted and contoured to provide a pent house feel, in that, there is no roof overhead. Residents have access to the “Sky-yard”, providing a spectacular and unchallenged view of the night sky. The buildings focus attention to the central courtyard where guests are invited to experience Guyana’s cultural celebrations. The sky-view terraces serve as a great space to have an unforgettable experience. Guests can observe the celebration of Phagwah in the courtyard, or participate in kite flying from each terrace, or experience the lightshow performed during Diwali. Whether participating or viewing, the building aims to recreate truly culturally relevant experiences, as it fosters a sense of community, integrating the residents with Guyana’s culture. The project is designed to meet international standard and the latest building codes.

To foster our drive to support local content, Guyanese owned and operated HD Design Studio inc. led by Renauto Ferdinand has been partnered with for the design of the Potaro Gardens by Trican Project.

We believe that as Guyanese, no one is as vested in the country’s development as we are, after all “this land is our land”. We believe that as a locally owned and operated Architecture design firm, it is our patriotic imperative to ensure that Guyana’s cultural identity is preserved and celebrated through Architecture. This aligns perfectly with Trican’s goal as a local developer, leading to this project; of which I believe will be a cultural Hallmark in Guyana’s developmental history.
